Student story · Admitted to a Cadet College, 2025
Zahoor: From a Learning Center to Cadet College
His family couldn't afford school. Six years later, Zahoor is studying at a Cadet College on his way to becoming an army officer.
When Zahoor’s family left their village in Jhang for Multan, his mother took work as house help. With five children and almost no income, school was out of reach.
In 2019 he walked into the SKF Learning Center with his older sister. Within two years he had completed the class 3 syllabus, and in September 2020 he passed the admission test for a reputed public school, becoming one of SKF’s first two Rising Star scholars.
A year later he won a Three Star Performance Badge in the International Kangaroo Science Contest, placing 7th out of 1,864 students in Pakistan.
In 2024 SKF enrolled him at a cadet tutoring academy. In April 2025, after entrance exams, medical tests and interviews, Zahoor began grade 8 at a Cadet College.
