Kamran: From House Helper to Pre-Engineering Student in Grade 11
At 11, Kamran had never been to school and worked as house help. He is now a pre-engineering student at a reputed college.
Kamran grew up in a village with nine siblings. At 11 he was sent to the city to work as a house helper for a landlord’s family. He had never been to school and could not read or write.
He came to the SKF Learning Center every day after finishing his chores, and completed the level 5 syllabus in two and a half years. In 2021 he joined grade 5 at a public secondary school as a Rising Star scholar, and earned an “A” in his grade 6 finals.
In the 2023–2024 International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest he placed 4th in Multan district and 18th in Pakistan. He still visits the center to teach the younger children.
In his grade 10 board exams in March 2026 he scored 91%, and he has been admitted to a reputed college in grade 11, in the pre-engineering group.
