COVID-19 relief reaches more than 300 families in Pakistan
Food rations, cash and 100 medical kits for front-line health workers, delivered by local volunteers during the lockdown.
When the COVID-19 lockdown shut down daily-wage work in Pakistan, house helpers, cleaners and laborers lost their income overnight. Between March and April 2020, SKF volunteers delivered food ration boxes and cash envelopes to more than 300 families in several Pakistani cities.
SKF also distributed 100 medical kits to front-line health workers in three hospitals, and educational kits (homework sheets, writing copies, colour pencils and story books) so our students could keep learning at home.
In California, SKF supported Nuestra Casa’s food distribution in East Palo Alto and sent thank-you gifts to front-line staff at a local hospital.
Out of respect for their dignity, SKF does not show the faces of people receiving relief. Read more about our relief work and the Annual Report 2020.
Give a child the chance to learn
$250–$350 covers a child’s full year at an SKF Learning Center: teacher, books, uniform and a daily healthy snack.
