Program 5 · Relief & Emergency

There when families need it most

From Ramadan food rations to pandemic and flood relief, delivered with dignity by trusted local volunteers.

The challenge

One crisis can undo years of progress

Daily-wage families have no savings. A pandemic lockdown, a flood or a hard month can leave them without food, and push children out of school.

Out of respect for their dignity, SKF does not show the faces of people receiving relief.

What we do

Our relief work

Ramadan Ration Drive

Every year, a month’s food (flour, rice, lentils, oil, sugar, tea and dates) for every SKF family, staff families and other families in need, including in remote villages of Sindh.

COVID-19 response

Food and cash for 300+ families, 100 medical kits for three hospitals, and learning kits so children could study at home.

2022 floods

Food packets and mosquito nets for families displaced by the Indus floods in Sujawal district, Sindh.

Give a child the chance to learn

$250–$350 covers a child’s full year at an SKF Learning Center: teacher, books, uniform and a daily healthy snack.
