SKF programs will assist these street children and their families to break away from poverty and change their destiny. To prosper and make a better future for themselves and their generations to come!

Pakistan Program and Plan
Today, based on UN statistics 55% of the world’s population lives in urban areas, a proportion that is expected to increase to 68% by 2050. At present 35% of the urban population around the world are living in urban slums that lack necessities of life.
Pakistan has a population of nearly 216 million, and the population living in slums is reported at 45.5% and rising according to the World Bank sources. Around 32% are under the age of 15 years and in major cities a rough estimate shows that there are between 1.2 to 1.5 million children roaming the streets. These children are denied basic rights such as access to basic education, healthcare or shelter and therefore become an easy target to various kinds of exploitation.
Growth Plan
Phase 1
An SKF Learning Center is a center for learning and growth, designed specifically for children between the ages of 4 and 12 who have never attended school or have dropped out due to poverty, homelessness, or other social and economic challenges.
The Learning Center provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children receive free foundational education, including literacy, numeracy, language development, life skills, and character education. Small class sizes and caring teachers ensure that every child receives individualized attention and learns at their own pace.
Unlike traditional schools, SKF Learning Centers serve as bridge education centers, helping children acquire the academic knowledge, confidence, and social skills needed to successfully transition into mainstream public or private schools within two to three years.
Beyond academics, the Learning Center promotes health, hygiene, nutrition, emotional well-being, and positive values.
Every SKF Learning Center is more than a classroom—it is a place of hope where children discover their potential, families become partners in change, and communities begin to break the cycle of poverty through education.
Objectives of an SKF Learning Center
- Provide free, quality foundational education to out-of-school children.
- Prepare children for successful enrollment in mainstream schools.
- Develop literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills.
- Foster confidence, discipline, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Promote health, hygiene, and positive social values.
- Engage and empower families to support their children’s education.
- Create pathways to long-term educational success through the SKF Rising Star Scholarship Program.
- Serve as a catalyst for lasting social and economic transformation within underserved communities.
SKF’s first Learning Center opened in Multan, Pakistan registered locally as Street Kids Rising Scholar Foundation (SKRSF) on March 2nd, 2018.
SKF’s second Learning Center opened in Peshawar, Pakistan registered locally as Girls Only Street Kids Rising Scholar Foundation (SKRSF) on September 2nd, 2024kistan.
SKRSF Learning Centers in Multan and Peshawar have children ages 4 years to 12 years as part of the daily 4-hour Monday to Friday learning program.
The selected out of school street children belong to very poor households, parents working either as daily laborers, housemaids, sweepers, or rickshaw drivers and not afford to send their children to a school. The children either stay at home or are left playing and roaming around the streets all day while their parents are at work.
At the SKRSF Learning Center the kids are given uniforms, sweaters, shoes, school bags, books, stationary and daily healthy snacks that includes, milk, fresh fruits, egg or a sandwich.
Children start with basic alphabet learning, sentence formation, number recognition, counting, simple addition and subtraction exercises, drawing and coloring and story time is also a part of their learning activity at the center. The kids are taught in both Urdu and English languages.
In 2018 starting with 10 students as of 2026 there are a total of 55 children.
Of these 55 students 22 students are now “SKRSF’s Rising Star Scholarship” students studying in different public and private schools in 4th to 11th grades in Multan and Peshawar schools.
Phase 2
August 2020, SKF’s “Rising Star Scholarship Program” was officially launched. Two (2) children, (one girl and one boy) transitioned from SKRSF Learning center to getting admission in a regular public school called “Federal Government Public Primary School for Boys and Girls”. In November 2021, three (3) more children, (2 girls and 1 boy) transitioned from SKRSF Learning Center. The boy got admission in “FG Public School for Boys”, and the 2 girls were admitted to a local private school. In August 2022 four (4) children (2 girls and 2 boys) got admission in “Federal Government Public Primary School for Boys and Girls”. In November 2022 from the SKRSF Learning Center three (3) children got admitted into a local private school. In January 2024 eleven (11) children were admitted. Todate there are 18 children that are part of “SKRSF Rising Star Scholarship Program”.
Phase 3
Street Kids Funds (SKF) 3rd phase project “Health & Hygiene Management”. Under this project SKF will have different programs related to better health management for SKF children and their families.

Under the nationwide Typhoid Vaccination Drive, SKF children were vaccinated.
As part of the annual Polio Drop Drive SKF children under 5 were given polio drops.
SKF Kids Vision Screening for all the 27 SKF children.
II- SKF Female Hygiene Awareness Program
Lecture on importance of health & hygiene awareness for SKF female students and female family members of all SKF children residing at their homes. (Female relatives include mothers, sisters, cousin sisters and aunts).
